In collaboration with performance artists from all regions of Switzerland, the collective research project Revolving Histories explores the collaboration, Social Elegance and transmission of performative knowledge. Taking the 2022 exhibition BANG BANG – translocal performance histories in Museum Tinguely as its starting point, the publication gives visibility to a practice marked by mutual inspiration. Artists, journalists and archivists have contributed short texts on current topics and issues from the world of performance art. The abundant visual material providing a comprehensive picture of the exhibition project, the authors’ passion for telling their stories, the external perspective and the spirit of involvement promise a very enjoyable read.
2026 sees an accompanying publication, the Atlas Revolving Histories – on translocal performance art Switzerland.
