Angela Lyn is a Swiss artist of Anglo-Chinese origin who lives and works in Lugano, Ticino. Cécile Leimgruber and Jakob Schenk, both gynaecologists, bought their first work from the artist in 1996. Since then, in an extensive relationship with Lyn’s work, Leimgruber and Schenk have continued to build this collection, bringing together forty-two works that broadly reflect the artist’s career.
Through a carefully shaped photographic essay, poetic text from the artist and an overview of the collection by art historian Max Koss, where paintings live - is a reflection of the role of art in daily life and a portrait of an enduring collection.
