The songs on Resonant Fields were written as part of an exploratory interaction with the images in the book. They move within a sound space that is influenced by Psychedelic Rock, Noise, New Wave and Ambient Music. The music was created using guitar, synthesizer and drum machines, and it works with the specific qualities of these genres – the ecstatic expansions and effect loops of psychedelic Music, the roaring and distortion of Noise, the textures and layers of Ambient, the heavy synth and compactness of New Wave. The book project and the LP explore the same subject matter: the relationship between image, music and text. Different moods are a direct reference to the visual works of the book project, which were produced using photography, drawing and graphic print.
