In her permanent work, Random Conversations, Berlin artist Birte Endrejat gave a school community a visible – and over-dimensional – display inside the school building, which in turn gave them a strong voice. The advertising board it was displayed on uses individual questions to make visible our relationship to space, as well as our relationship to one another in the institution that is school.
The questions were developed with the school community over a period of three years, and they are compiled in full in the publication. The book’s playful form allows the reader to address the questions in different combinations.
Kunst und Bau Nummer 14 (Art and Architecture, No. 14) – with the title Random Conversations – was developed parallel to the book.
