The retrospectively produced monograph showing the works of sculptor and illustrator Andrea Zaumseil (b. 1957 in Überlingen/Lake Constance) includes her pastel chalk drawings, mainly in black, that she has produced over the past 30 years. Mostly large format, they are marked by three-dimensional thinking and seek re-localisation in the inner and the outer world. The publication Zeichnung (Drawing) renders visible both continuities and ruptures. Enduring themes, the unforeseen and divergences flow intertwined with one another along lines that are not only impacted by world affairs but also personal and biographical.
