Monika Günther and Ruedi Schill began contributing to the development, promotion and dissemination of performance art in the 1980s. In 1995, they decided to collaborate on a performance and, until Ruedi Schill's death in 2020, created an unmistakable joint work in which human behaviour, rituals and patterns of perception are thematised and social issues are impressively transferred into the aesthetic. They received great international recognition for this.

All performance documents from the archives of Monika Günther and Ruedi Schill are compiled for the first time in this monograph. A large selection of photographs recreates the physical presence of the participants and the atmosphere of the live events. At the same time, the book offers impetus for debates about the special fascination of performance art.
