Published for the exhibition Dada New York III: The Metaphysics of Sitting, which was held in 2012 at the Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich.

This book brings together texts written during and in the module Dada in New York und die Folgen für die Kunst (Dada in New York and the Consequences for Art) contained in the Arts & Media programme at the Zurich University of the Arts. Students were asked to bring a poem to each weekly session, which was then recited in plenary. These poems have been collected and printed in this book. Everything was taken, no process of elimination was employed, either by curatorial or editorial intervention, to supposedly improve the quality of the book.
The book is a collective diary, a kind of journal that does not record the deeds and activities of a group, but rather its casual thoughts, its unsuspected moods and unconscious longings.
