The art association IG Halle Rapperswil on Lake Zurich celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2017. This makes the interest group of committed art lovers from Rapperswil-Jona and the city of Zurich the oldest art institution in the region. The name is reminiscent of former Gerberit foundry hall, which was available to the association from 1992 to 2006. Since 2008, it has been based in the Kunst(Zeug)Haus Rapperswil, where it organises annual exhibitions of regional, national and international culture and art.
